POSITION
Our Clinicians work with other dedicated professionals who share a passion for helping individuals in need by being creative and innovative to tailor the best available interventions for each individual and treatment team. We offer the chance to make a significant impact on individual clients and on the Colorado I/DD community as a whole. Our team consists of professionals from diverse backgrounds including Counseling, Social Work, and Occupational Therapy, who have integrated their approaches using in-depth understanding of the neurobiological and developmental impacts of early childhood experiences and the lasting effects into adulthood. Our team is constantly learning together both formally and informally through our Clinical supervision model; applying what is learned to individual clients, families, and to the design of our services and programs.
RESPONSIBILTIES
- Providing therapy to adults with I/DD who are involved in Medicaid Waiver services.
- Conducting assessments and formulating individualized multidisciplinary treatment plans to guide services in homes and community settings
- Consulting with and training parents and host-home providers on therapeutic interventions and behavioral programs.
- Working with treatment team members and case managers; on-call telephone support for crisis and emergency situations during normal work hours.
- Master's degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology
- Two years' experience working directly with a clinical population OR related experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician
- Valid CO State Issued Driver's license
- Support, Inc. requires all individuals in consideration for employment to complete a background screening prior to an offer of employment.
- Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Colorado, or Board Certified Behavioral Analyst
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, consumers, guardians, family members, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical and complex problems and critically reason through a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to prioritize work needs to effectively manage time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is varied between office and community locations including host homes and day programs. This position requires a personal vehicle for transportation in order to effectively monitor and coordinate care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to drive. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
SCHEDULE
After completing a new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday - Thursday
